In preparing our first Sustainability Report, we chose to follow the G4 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines issued by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). The GRI Guidelines are the most widely adopted sustainability reporting standard in the world. As part of our commitment to corporate transparency, we conducted a full materiality assessment, which helped us to identify and rank the issues that we believe are most critical to the continued success of our company, and that matter most to our internal and external stakeholders.
To determine the material aspects to include in our reporting, we reached out to stakeholders such as patient associations, investors and employees.
As part of our preparation it was also important to consider the different elements of our business, our activities, and how we contribute to value creation for our stakeholders.
