Actelion is fully committed to good corporate governance, and adheres to standards of the relevant requirements, complying with existing legal regulations, the SWX (Swiss stock exchange) directives, and the Swiss Code of Best Practice for Corporate Governance. The internal company regulations, in particular the company’s Articles of Incorporation and By-laws, incorporate all the principles that govern the management and supervision of the company.
Actelion has implemented a number of international guidelines relating to promotional material, websites and organizing events. These global rules ensure that advertising material complies with applicable regulations. Actelion also complies with the marketing code of the European Federation of Pharmaceuticals Industries’ Association (EFPIA). In the United States, Actelion adheres strictly to the principles of the PhRMA code.
